AI as an editing tool



As of right now AI has secured a foothold in real estate and hospitality photography. A photo shoot can take a couple of hours, manual editing after can take from 2-6 hours depending on the scenario. A lot of photographers use overseas editors that work while we sleep, guaranteeing a quick turnaround. Now there's different AI editing apps and software that will do the job in about 30 minutes on your desktop or tablet, giving you complete control. Some of us are purists that insist on obsessing over our work. Basically, you upload your three to five individual exposures that make up the single image and the AI does the rest.

Auto HDR


Not bad. Fine for what it is. Decent detail but not a whole lot of color depth. If you care about speed, this will do it.

Fotello


More color depth and deeper blacks. The blues of the chair and under the bar are richer with enhanced honey tones on the right and much more wood detail on the left

My hand-blended HDR


Doing your own work has its rewards. Better blues on the chairs and under the bar, more detail especially on the far end of the bar with even more warmth in the wood and wine wall.

My HDR + Flash


Adding a flash into the image lets you know that the underside of the bar was not blue, but yellow and brown. The blue under the bar in the other photos is reflected blue off the chairs. Using a flash makes finding white balance easy. Once you find white, the rest of the colors fall in line.

Every listing gets a video spot whether you use it or not. Using it increases opportunity. Not every video has to be a sweeping epic with soft orchestral music, slo-mo fireplaces and day to night transitions. They can be house-oriented perspectives on the local area.
