I’m an architectural and interior photographer and videographer based in South Lake Tahoe and loving it.

I help architects, agents and those in hospitality get story-driven images and films that document how a space feels, without the hassle, ego, or overproduction.

I work with clients across the Tahoe area and travel nationally for select projects.

photography methods

behind every image is a deliberate approach to light and color.

HDr (High Dynamic range)

using natural light to capture color and emotion Inside and outside.

This is when 3-5 photos are taken at different exposures from the same location. These are then blended together in post to create one high dynamic range photos which has all the info on the light conditions and colors that exist in the room, from highlights to shadow details. Most real estate photos are taken this way. It's the preferred method of outdoor architectural and landscape photography.

The Flambient method

to bring out exceptional detail and accurate color.

It means "flash + ambient". This is when you blend a photo taken with a flash to a natural light or HDR photo. Dominating the light in the room with a neutral light flash guarantees accurate white balance. When you have accurate white balance, all the other colors in the image fall into line. Using the flash image as a base layer, you overlay the luminosity (how the light behaves in the room without the color) of the room over the flash photo The results are realistic colors and detail you can zoom in on. This is the preferred method of photographing an interior, due to its accuracy and ability to capture detail.
